Erin Whinnery is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and policy research. Currently serving as Senior Project Manager at the Education Commission of the States since April 2017, Erin has also held roles such as Project Manager and Policy Researcher within the organization. Prior to this, Erin worked at the University of Denver as an Inclusive Excellence Fellow and Discoveries Orientation Graduate Intern. Erin's earlier career includes a position as Staff Coordinator at the National Conference of State Legislatures, where responsibilities included grant management and professional development planning for state legislators. Erin began the career as a Development Assistant at Vineyard Nursing Association and as an Editorial/Marketing Assistant at Union Park Press. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Higher Education from the University of Denver and a BA in English and Communications from Boston College.
