Kate Haggerty

Kate Haggerty serves as the HR Manager at the Education Commission of the States since October 2017. Prior to this role, Kate worked as a Contract Grant Writer from May 2015 to October 2017 and was previously employed as a Grants Administrator at Urban Peak from June 2008 to August 2011. Earlier experience includes a position as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator at the University of Colorado at Denver from June 2004 to August 2007. Kate has extensive experience with federally funded grants, specifically with the National Institute for Urban School Improvement and the National Center for Culturally Responsive Educational Systems, focusing on inclusive and culturally responsive educational practices. Kate holds a B.A. in Social & Environmental Justice from Appalachian State University, attained in 2001.
