Jim Vetter has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Jim has held leadership roles in various organizations focused on social and emotional learning, mental health, and violence prevention. Jim has served as the Executive Director of SEL4US and the Social-Emotional Learning Alliance for Massachusetts. Jim has also been the Associate Director of Health and Technology at Education Development Center, Inc., where they provided subject matter expertise and leadership in promoting students' social and emotional well-being. Additionally, Jim has worked as the Director of Programs and Services at Open Circle, where they led the development and delivery of social and emotional learning programs for K-5 students. Jim has also directed suicide and youth violence prevention programs at the Virginia Department of Health. Prior to this, Jim was a partner at GrowthWorks, a firm that provided conflict resolution and violence prevention education services to youth-serving organizations. Jim started their career as a youth and corporate presenter, creating and delivering interactive, educational theater programs. Jim's extensive experience in promoting social and emotional learning and mental health in educational settings makes him a valuable asset in their current role as Executive Director.

Jim Vetter completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Studies at Yale University from 1977 to 1981. Jim then pursued further education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where they obtained an Ed.M. degree in social and emotional learning from 2000 to 2001.
