Sarita Pillai

Sarita Pillai serves as the Chief Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Officer at the Education Development Center (EDC) since 2001, where responsibilities include leading and implementing an integrated Equity, Diversity & Inclusion strategy to support organizational goals. Pillai has held various leadership roles within EDC, focusing on enhancing diversity in STEM education and workforce development. Key projects include managing the STEM Learning and Research Center (STELAR) and acting as Principal Investigator for the NSF ITEST program. Prior to EDC, Pillai worked at Artisoft from 1993 to 2000 in roles ranging from Sales Engineer to Business Development Manager, focusing on developing sales programs and supporting sales efforts in the telephony sector. Pillai holds an MBA from Bentley University and a B.S. in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
