Purvi Patel has a strong background in education and instructional design. Purvi began their career in 2012 as a Teach For America Corps Member, where they taught in under-resourced public schools and engaged in professional development. Purvi then worked as a Spanish Teacher at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, where they pioneered a foreign language program across multiple grade levels. In 2014, they joined Henrico County Public Schools as a Spanish Teacher and Department Chair.
In 2016, Purvi joined the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), first as a LEAP Design Coordinator and later as an Innovation and Design Strategist in the Office of School Design and Continuous Improvement. In these roles, they managed a portfolio of schools participating in the Design Lab, building relationships with school leaders and facilitating professional learning experiences. Purvi also developed methodologies and frameworks for continuous improvement and supported the design of new programming.
In 2019, Purvi joined Education Elements as a Design Principal, and later became a Senior Design Principal. In these roles, they played a key role in designing and implementing innovative solutions in education. Purvi then joined Scholarus Learning in 2023 as the Senior Manager of Services.

Purvi Patel has a Bachelor's of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, which they obtained between 2008 and 2010. Purvi'sstudies focused on Spanish Language and Literature, as well as History. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Foreign Language Teacher Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, completing their studies between 2012 and 2014.
In addition to their formal education, Purvi Patel has obtained certain certifications. In July 2019, they obtained a Virginia Post Graduate Teaching License (PreK-12 Spanish) from the Virginia Board of Education.
