Julianne Sterling

Julianne Sterling is an experienced visual art educator with a strong background in teaching and art management. Currently serving as a Visual Art Teacher at Education for Change Public Schools since July 2018, Julianne also provides art education to a diverse group of 435 students at Sequoia Elementary School. As the owner and finance manager of Mercury Twenty Gallery since 2010, Julianne plays a pivotal role in promoting local art in Oakland. Previous roles include Arts Education Manager at Pro Arts Gallery and teaching artist positions in various educational programs, demonstrating a commitment to integrating art into community and school curricula. Julianne holds multiple degrees including a Master of Education and certifications in human resources and art integration.
