James Denney's work experience begins in 2004, where they worked as the Defense Messaging Systems Chief for the 1st Marine Division G6. In this role, they managed DMS servers, conducted training for message releasers, and provided end user support for the Division Headquarters. James then moved on to the Marine Air Control Squadron 2, where they served as the Assistant Data Chief, planning and configuring tactical networks and training junior Marines on networking basics.
In 2011, James joined ENA as a Senior Customer Support Engineer, providing first and second level network connectivity support to customers. James also assisted customers with troubleshooting network issues and completed various requests involving changes to routers, switches, firewalls, DNS records, and email accounts.
In 2015, James transitioned within ENA to become a Senior Technical Operations Engineer. In this role, they served as an escalation point for CTAC and worked with management and ASMs to provide quick resolutions for customers. James also worked on reducing the number of aging tickets by taking ownership and resolving them.
Most recently, in 2021, James worked as a Network Engineer for Clayton Homes. However, their tenure in this role was relatively short, ending in January 2022.
James Denney's education history begins in 1999 when they attended Gordonsville High School and obtained their high school diploma in 2003. James then underwent training at the Marine Corps Communications and Electronics School from 2003 to 2004, specializing in Data Systems. In 2008, James completed the CCNA and CompTIA A+ certifications at the Marine Corps Communications and Electronics School.
James further pursued their education at National University from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology Management. Beyond their formal education, James has obtained several certifications, including the CompTIA A+ certification in 2008, the CCNA certification in 2012, and the CCENT certification in 2012, all from Cisco. Additionally, they obtained the Brocade Certified Network Engineer certification from Brocade in 2016, the Vidyo Certified Deployment & Support Engineer (VC-DSE) certification from Vidyo Inc. in 2013, and the HDI Support Center Analysis certification from the Help Desk Institute in 2011.
