Rachel Mazur

Rachel Mazur is an experienced dance instructor and choreographer with a strong background in ballet and dance education. Currently serving as a Teaching Artist at Educational Alliance since September 2015, Rachel teaches dance to students in grades K-5, choreographs for school showcases, and develops age-appropriate curricula. In addition to teaching at East Pointe Dance since February 2014, Rachel offers private ballet lessons as a freelancer, providing specialized coaching in ballet technique, pointe, and variations. Rachel has also been on the substitute list for the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School of American Ballet Theatre since November 2012 and taught ballet at New Dance from February 2013 to February 2014. Prior experience includes assisting dance faculty at the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Dance in the Professions from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Pedagogy and Ballet Performance from Point Park University.
