Joe Suarez

Joe Suarez has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles, with a strong background in leadership and strategic planning. Joe currently serves as the SVP Finance/CFO at Educational Federal Credit Union since 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the CFO at ExpoCredit from 2015 to 2021, where they were involved in important decision-making processes and managed banking and lender relationships. Joe also served as the CFO at Acceller, Inc. from 2011 to 2015, leading all finance and accounting functions and playing a key role in the company's acquisition and integration process.

Before that, Joe held various positions at MasterCard from 2005 to 2011, including Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, Director of Finance/Controller for the Northern Cone Region, and Division Finance Officer for the Northern Cone Region. In these roles, they oversaw financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance for the region, transforming the finance function into a strategic partner for the business.

Joe's earlier experience includes working as the Director of Internal Audit at Mount Sinai Medical Center Miami Beach from 2003 to 2005, and in various roles at Royal Caribbean International from 1998 to 2003, including Manager of Business Process Improvement, Manager of Strategic Sourcing, and Senior Auditor. Joe began their career as an Advanced Development Program Senior Associate at PwC from 1994 to 1998, where they planned and coordinated audits for domestic and multinational clients and conducted financial advisory and litigation projects.

Joe started their career as a Commercial Loan Officer at SunTrust Bank from 1990 to 1992. With their MBA and CPA qualifications, Joe Suarez brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to their work in finance and accounting.

Joe Suarez, MBA, CPA, received their Masters of Business Administration from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 1994. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelors of Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Florida International University in 1990. In 1997, they became a Certified Public Accountant through the state of Florida.
