Jiangang Hao has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Research Scientist at the University of Pennsylvania, where they focused on astronomical digital image segmentation, registration, and Point Spread Function measurement. Jiangang then moved to Fermilab, where they worked as a Postdoc, specializing in data mining and modeling of large-scale astronomical data.

Jiangang'scareer then transitioned to ETS, where they held several positions. As a Research Scientist, they developed an assessment prototype for collaborative problem solving and tools to analyze process data from virtual performance assessments. Jiangang also led the development of the ETS Collaborative Science project. Later, as a Senior Research Scientist, Jiangang focused on developing EduTech infrastructure to measure 21st-century skills and methodologies to analyze complex data from digital learning and assessments. Jiangang led the development of the ETS Platform for Collaborative Assessment and Learning (EPCAL).

In their most recent role as a Managing Senior Research Scientist at ETS, Jiangang led the Assessment Analytics and Data Science group, overseeing research scientists and data analysts focused on developing new analytics and providing data support to other teams. Jiangang has also been serving as Research Director, leading a team of scientists working on various research projects related to psychometrics, data science, and AI in the context of digital learning and assessments.

Jiangang Hao holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics from the University of Michigan. Additionally, they have obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Statistics from the same institution.
