Application Developer

Educology Solutions is seeking a full time Application Developer to support development activities for client systems used in support of trade and forensic investigations. The successful candidate will apply technical skills and experience to create fully tested and operational software components and assemble software components into a working system while ensuring each part of the system is constructed according to specification, building quality throughout the system, and making changes to support new system functionality. 

Additionally, the candidate will provide software development, application modeling, application deployment and configuration, and custom coding and systems integration in support of this project. Tasks also include data modeling and data mapping, application configuration and application administration. This is a full-time position, located in Washington, DC with duties being performed in a hybrid environment.

Candidates must either currently hold a CBP clearance or the ability to obtain the clearance.  

  

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Interface directly with client to identify issues and solve problems
• Use problem solving skills to identify potential solutions
• Write custom code to create new applications
• Rewrite existing legacy applications.
• Write up problem and resolution reports
• Work in an Agile software development lifecycle process

Position Requirements 

• College degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional development experience.
• Familiar with MVC, ASP.NET, Web Forms.
• Proficiency in .NET utilizing C#, ASP and VBS skills
• Familiarity with the Microsoft suite of development tools is required (Visual Studio)
• Solid SQL database (Oracle/SQL Server) skill set is a must.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft suite of tools is required.
• Experience designing, building, maintaining, and implementing integrated web-based solutions in a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Related professional and/or technical certifications desirable
• Microsoft Certified Software Developer (MCSD) or relevant certification is desirable
