Joanna Moonan

Joanna Moonan was appointed to the Board of Directors for WJEC CBAC Limited as an Independent Non-Executive Director/Trustee in April 2018. Joanna was appointed Chair of the Board in March 2020, at which time she was also appointed Chair of the Nominations Committee and is also a member of the Remuneration Committee, has stepped down as Chair in March 2020.

Joanna is a qualified member of CIPD and has a master's degree in strategic HRM/D; she is also a Chartered Fellow of CMI. She is currently a Deputy Director in the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education, overseeing employer-led qualification development. Prior to this, Joanna held Director posts in a commercial training organization and an apprenticeship training provider. In addition, she has substantial experience working with AQA at a senior level.

Her passion is transformational change, with people at the core of successful change. Having always worked in the learning and education sectors, Joanna strongly believes that qualifications provide gateways to opportunities and careers.
