Ionel Nistor

Ionel NISTOR is currently working as the Technical Director on the SZC NI project at Edvance and as Directeur technique SZC NI at EDF EPR Engineering UK. Previously, he held the role of Head of R&D Nuclear at EDF ENERGY R&D UK CENTRE LIMITED where he was responsible for the strategic and operational development, management, governance, and delivery oversight of the Nuclear R&D programs. With a background in mechanics, he has also worked on various R&D projects related to simulation tools, rotating machinery, and vibrational expertise in nuclear power stations. Ionel has extensive experience as a Universitary Lecturer at Academia Tehnică Militară din București where he taught courses related to armament and ammunition, and managed the Ammunition and Rockets Lab. He holds a PhD in Mechanics from Toulouse INP, a Master's degree in Mechanics from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III, and a Licence in Ammunition and rockets from Military Technical Academy "Ferdinand I".
