Michael Champigny is an experienced educator and program facilitator with a strong background in civic education for K-12 students. Currently serving as the Senior Associate of Curriculum and Content at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate, Michael writes and revises culturally responsive materials while facilitating diverse civic education programs. Prior roles include Mentor Teacher at Lowery Middle School, where Michael supported educators and was involved in leadership initiatives, and Corps Member for Teach For America, selected from a competitive pool to teach in high-need schools. Michael has also gained experience in legal assistance through an internship and has held various positions that enhanced organizational and leadership skills. Michael earned a degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
