Graham Clarkson has a diverse work experience in the agricultural industry. Graham worked as a Breeding Director at Edward Vinson Ltd from November 2016 to the present. Prior to that, they held the position of Breeding Programmes General Manager at the same company from April 2015 to November 2016. Graham also worked at Vitacress, where they held various roles including Agronomist, Farms Development Manager, Innovation and Seed Manager, and Agronomy and R&D roles from November 2003 to April 2015.

Graham Clarkson pursued their education in plant sciences and genetics, focusing on plant sciences for their doctorate. Graham attended the University of Southampton from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Plant Sciences. Prior to that, from 1998 to 1999, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Plant Genetic Manipulation at the University of Nottingham. Graham began their academic journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Genetics from Aberystwyth University, which they attended from 1994 to 1997.
