Erin Wiggins Gilliam

Erin Wiggins Gilliam, PhD, currently serves as the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs at Edward Waters University since November 2023. Prior to this role, Erin held the position of Assistant Vice President for Student Retention and Matriculation Success at Texas Southern University, where responsibilities included developing programs to enhance student achievement. Erin's academic career includes significant tenure at Kentucky State University, beginning as an Assistant Professor of History, followed by roles as Associate Professor and Academic Administrator/Dean of the Honors Collegium, emphasizing student engagement and success through diverse initiatives. Erin's earlier experience includes a faculty position at the University of Kentucky and participation in student affairs as an NPHC Advisor. Educational qualifications consist of a PhD in American History from the University of Kentucky and a BA in Social Studies Teacher Education from Kentucky State University.
