Chester Zelaya

Chester Zelaya is an experienced executive in the medical and manufacturing sectors, currently serving as a Board Member for Heart to Heart Global Cardiac Care since July 2021, where the organization focuses on enhancing access to cardiac care in underserved areas. Since April 2017, Chester has held the position of Senior Vice President of Implant Network Global Operations at Edwards Lifesciences, overseeing global manufacturing operations across multiple countries. Prior roles include Vice President of Plasma Manufacturing Operations-North America at Shire from December 2014 to March 2017, and Plant General Manager at Baxter International Inc. from December 2010 to December 2014, managing operations in the plasma and biopharmaceutical sectors. Chester's extensive experience also encompasses various managerial positions at Baxter Healthcare, where responsibilities included overseeing facilities in Costa Rica and California. Chester holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Costa Rica and an MBA in Finance from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.
