Jacob Barkai is a distinguished cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in the medical device industry, currently serving as a Distinguished Product Security Architect at Edwards Lifesciences since March 2021. Barkai has led cybersecurity initiatives for innovative medical device projects, collaborating across various domains including R&D and regulatory affairs. Previously, as a Principal Security Architect at Medtronic, Barkai shaped security architecture for medical cloud systems, emphasizing compliance with FDA Cybersecurity guidelines. With a solid background that includes positions at Nanolock Security, Cellebrite, Mentor Graphics, and Elbit Systems, Barkai brings a wealth of expertise in secure software development and threat modeling.
