Maria Fitzpatrick

Maria (Szij) Fitzpatrick, MBA, has extensive experience in the medical and healthcare industry, with a focus on physician education and product marketing. Currently serving as Chair of the Research Committee at Edwards Lifesciences since January 2008, Maria leads a multidisciplinary team overseeing patient eligibility for a transapical mitral valve repair trial while enhancing medical education for cardiothoracic surgeons and ECHO cardiologists. Previously, Maria held key positions at Johnson and Johnson as Sales Director for the Mid Atlantic Region, achieving significant growth in the trauma business, and at Stryker Orthopaedics, managing a major market for cemented hip implants. Maria began their career at GE Healthcare, where a focus on women's health and maternal-fetal medicine led to the successful global launch of innovative technologies. Maria holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Connecticut School of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business/Trade/Commerce from the University of Connecticut.
