Rotem Halevi

Rotem Halevi, PhD, currently serves in a research role at Edwards Lifesciences since October 2021, while also holding positions as a research manager and chief scientist at Pi-Cardia since October 2015. Halevi completed a PhD at Tel Aviv University from 2011 to 2016, focusing on mechanical investigations of aortic valve progressive calcification using refined computational models, employing tools such as finite element analysis with ABAQUS and computational fluid dynamics with FlowVision. Prior experience includes founding 3F, an engineering consulting company specializing in fatigue, fracture, and finite element analysis, operational from September 2009 to October 2015, and serving as a leading specialist in fatigue and damage tolerance for the Israel Air Force from 2005 to 2009, boasting over 20 years of experience in aircraft structures, repair design, and project management. Educational qualifications include an engineering degree in aeronautics from the Technion and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
