Shreyas Rana is an accomplished researcher and developer currently engaged with the UC Berkeley Datahub since October 2023. As a co-founder of FoodGrind, Shreyas developed a crowdsourcing mobile application for UC Berkeley students, implementing a data ingestion engine and achieving over 1000 downloads. Previous experience includes a data science internship at SplashLearn, where insights on student performance were generated using large language models, and an academic internship supporting the CS 61A course at UC Berkeley. Shreyas managed project development for BlossomVR, creating a virtual reality simulator, and co-authored the Slides extension as a software engineer intern at Auto-LaTeX Equations. Experiential learning included a research internship with MobiStudy, where Shreyas integrated a Parkinson's monitoring app and served as the software lead officer for a top-ranking FIRST Robotics Competition team. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science expected in 2026 from the University of California, Berkeley.
