Mary Liu

Mary Liu is a highly experienced educator specializing in biology, with a tenure that began in August 2010 at Weston Public Schools as a High School Biology Educator. Liu has developed and managed diverse biology curriculums, including AP-level courses, while also contributing as a LabXchange Teacher In Residence since April 2018 to create interactive biology content for various audiences. Involvement with edX as a Course Developer started in September 2014, focusing on AP Biology curriculum and assessments. As an ABE Master Teacher, Liu has implemented the Amgen Biotech Experience since its inception in 2010. Previous experience includes positions at The Roxbury Latin School, Advanced Biotechnology Institute, Biogen Idec, and the Kohlberg Math Learning Center. Liu holds a B.A. in Biology from Harvard University, an Ed.M. in Learning and Teaching from Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Master's degree in Biological Sciences from Clemson University, a teaching certification from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and has participated in a summer program at the University of Oxford.
