Joel's earlier career includes a reporter role at Platts, coverage for Chemical News & Intelligence as a freelance correspondent, and various editorial positions in Central Europe and the U.S. Joel has a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
