Maximilian Bock has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2012, they worked as a Financial Modelling and Structuring professional at Citi before joining 80 CAPITAL LLP as a Quantitative Analyst in 2013. During this time, they also worked as a Project Manager at Eco House Initiative. In 2014, they became a Consultant at UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme). In 2015, Maximilian became a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, where they held roles in Resource Efficiency for the Built Environment and Construction as well as Architectural Engineering. Maximilian also founded and served as the CEO of Madanyu Social Enterprise, a position they held from 2014 to 2018. In 2015, they joined Granta Design as a KTP Associate. From 2015 to 2019, Maximilian was the Founder and CEO of Netwookie LTD. Maximilian then worked as an Investment Manager at High-Tech Gründerfonds from 2019 to 2022. Currently, they are a Co-Founder at eekual Bionic GmbH, starting in October 2022.

Maximilian Bock obtained a Ph.D. in Physics Nanotechnology from the University of Cambridge from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed an MSci degree in Physics and Philosophy at King's College London between 2004 and 2008. In 2006 and 2007, Maximilian Bock participated in the Year Abroad Programme at the University of Chicago, where they focused on Physics.
