Andrew Payne

Andrew Payne is a seasoned professional in the chemical engineering industry with extensive experience in operations management and manufacturing. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at EET Hydrogen since June 2025, Payne previously held the position of Operations General Manager at EET Fuels from January 2020 to May 2025. Prior experience includes significant roles at Essar Oil (UK) Limited as Head of Manufacturing and Technology Manager, where leadership of a team of 40 Chemical Engineers and management of a $100 million annual capital expenditure program were key responsibilities. Payne's career commenced at Shell, where roles spanned from Oil Movements Manager to various technical positions in refining and process support. Educational qualifications include a BEng in Chemical Engineering from The University of Manchester and recognition as a Chartered Chemical Engineer (FIChemE).
