Greg Rorem has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Greg started their career as a Research intern/assistant at UCSD Interactive Cognition Lab in 2009, where they gained experience in cognitive ethnography projects. Greg also worked as a Stage Crew Work Leader, showcasing their ability to manage tasks and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
In 2013, Greg joined RAIN as a UX Designer, where they worked on high-quality product experiences for large organizations. Greg also took on additional responsibilities such as visual design and code development. Greg then moved on to become a UX Designer and International Team Manager at RAIN, leading teams and projects while maintaining their UX role.
In 2015, Greg joined Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) as an M.Sc. Candidate & Interactive Technology Researcher. Here, they focused on their master's thesis and contributed to ongoing research on treatment methods for stroke patients using virtual reality.
Since 2016, Greg has been working at EF Education First as a Senior UX Designer and later as a Lead Product Designer. In this role, they collaborated with a team of designers to deliver innovative and engaging educational products across mobile applications, web interfaces, and physical services. Greg worked closely with agile, scrum-based development teams to achieve business, product, and user goals.
Greg Rorem obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Human Computer Interaction from UC San Diego in 2012. Later, in 2016, they earned a Master's degree in Cognitive Systems & Interactive Media from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
