Emil Kleijn has a diverse background in the field of photonics engineering. Emil started their career in 2010 at Eindhoven University of Technology, where they worked as a PhD student and graduated with honors. Their research focused on developing passive components for use in Generic Integration Platforms based on indium phosphide, specifically collaborating with three different InP foundries.
In 2014, Emil briefly worked as an Optical Chip Designer at EFFECT Photonics. Here, they gained experience in designing optical chips before transitioning to a role as a Senior Photonics Engineer in 2015. In this role, they contributed to the development of photonic chip technology.
Emil's dedication and expertise led him to be promoted to the position of Chip Engineering Manager in 2016 at EFFECT Photonics, where they managed a team responsible for chip engineering. Emil successfully held this position until March 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Engineer at EFFECT Photonics from January 2022 onwards.
Emil Kleijn studied at Eindhoven University of Technology from 2004 to 2010, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.
