Simon Huang

Simon (Junwei) Huang is a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley, with notable experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Rivian since January 2023. Huang actively contributes as a Chassis Engineer for Formula Electric at Berkeley, focusing on spaceframe design and testing, while previously serving as Chassis Lead, overseeing subsystem development and team management. Additional roles include Course Reader for ME 108 at UC Berkeley and Undergraduate Student Assistant at the UC Berkeley GSI Teaching and Resources Center. Huang began a career in engineering at Caltech Racing (Formula SAE Electric) as a Frame Team Member and worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Project Boom.
