Andrew Alfonso Frank

Andrew Alfonso Frank has a substantial work experience in the field of hybrid and electric vehicles. Andrew Alfonso has served as the Chief Technology Officer at Efficient Drivetrains, Inc. since 2007, where they focus on commercializing advanced hybrid electric vehicle technologies. Andrew Alfonso has also developed technology and designs for continuously variable transmissions. Prior to this role, they were the Chief Technology Officer Emeritus Professor at UC Davis, starting in 2005. Andrew Alfonso collaborated with staff to develop new concepts for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and mechanical CVTs. Andrew Alfonso was also engaged in Phd education at UC Davis during this time. Andrew Alfonso Frank has also worked as a Professor at UC Davis and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specializing in electrical and computer engineering. Additionally, they served as an Advisor at the Eindhoven University of Technology.

Andrew Alfonso Frank completed their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley from 1953 to 1958. Andrew Alfonso then pursued a Phd in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California from 1962 to 1967.
