Matteo Zapparoli

Matteo Zapparoli's work experience includes various positions in the legal field. From 2016, they worked as the Head of EFG Group Legal International at EFG Bank, where they were responsible for legal coordination between the Swiss Head Office and international locations. Prior to this, they served as the First Vice President & Senior Counsel at BSI Bank from 2009 to 2016. Matteo also worked as an Investment Banking Lawyer at Lehman Brothers and as a Senior Legal Counsel at Credit Agricole. Matteo started their career as a Junior Associate at NCTM - Studio Legale Associato and as a Trainee Lawyer at the International Law Firm Mizzau & Partners.

Matteo Zapparoli has a diverse education history in the field of law and finance. In 2000, they obtained a Certificate in International Law from The Hague Academy of International Law in The Hague, Netherlands. Matteo later pursued a J.D. in International Commercial Law at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.

In 2002, Matteo attended SDA Bocconi where they acquired a Master's degree in Corporate Finance. Continuing their education in finance, in 2010 they completed a Diploma in Swaps, OTC Derivatives & Structured Finance from Euromoney Training in London, United Kingdom.

Matteo further enhanced their legal knowledge by attending BPP Law School from 2010 to 2012. During this time, their studies focused on Principles of Common Law, Professional Conduct and Accountancy, Litigation, and Property.

In 2014, Matteo participated in the Executive Class for International Lending & Secured Financings (Corporate, Project & Asset-based) offered by Euromoney Investors Plc. in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Matteo gained specialized knowledge in this field.

Matteo's education journey continued in 2017 when they pursued the CAS Compliance in Financial Services at the University of Geneva. Matteo excelled in the program and received the ABT (Associazione Bancaria Ticinese) Award for Best Grade.

In 2019, Matteo enrolled in a course on Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Proceedings in Switzerland at Centro Studi Villa Negroni, where they further expanded their knowledge of banking law.
