Azadeh de Leon

Azadeh de Leon has extensive work experience in the media and production industry. Azadeh is currently serving as the EVP, Operations - General Manager at Efran Films since October 2020. Prior to this, they worked at VICE Media from 2015 to 2020, holding various positions such as Head of Production, Studio Line Producer, and Production Manager. During their time at VICE Media, Azadeh oversaw a large portfolio of projects, leading production teams, managing budgets, and ensuring the success of each project. Before their time at VICE Media, they held production roles at Tricon Films & Television, Peacock Alley Entertainment, Frantic Films, 11 Television Canada, Cineflix Media Inc., HLP + Partners, Summerhill TV, and Danse TV Productions. Their roles in these companies varied from Production Manager to Post Production Coordinator and Assistant Editor. With their wealth of experience, Azadeh de Leon has developed strong leadership and production management skills.

Azadeh de Leon has a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Television and Film from Sheridan College. Azadeh also completed a Certificate Program in Film/Cinema/Video Studies at Ryerson University. Additionally, they obtained an Osgoode Certificate in Entertainment Law from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School. Azadeh also participated in the NextGen Leaders Management Training program, where they studied topics such as What is Leadership vs. Management, Communicating with Impact, and Situational Leadership and Delegation.
