From 2012 to 2015, they served as the Executive Director at Mid-East Commission. In 2015, they became the Assistant Controller at Cambridge Franchise Holdings, LLC. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as an Accountant at Luihn VantEdge Partners, LLC and an Account Manager at Thomas, Judy & Tucker, P. A. Currently, they are the Senior Manager, Finance and Quality Control and Manager, Accounting & Compliance at Eva Garland Consulting, LLC.

Timothy Baynes, CPA has an educational background in accounting. Timothy obtained an AAS in Accounting from Vance-Granville Community College between 1992 and 1994. Timothy then received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from NC Wesleyan College between 1995 and 1997. Timothy also attended UNC-Chapel Hill School of Government for Local Government Finance/Administration, but did not receive a degree. In August 2018, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification from the NC State Board of CPA Examiners.
