Garrett Burke

Garrett Burke began their career in 1982 as a Skipper, Leader & Scout for 9th Port Malahide. Garrett then moved to FINEOS in 1997 as an IT Manager. In 2000, they became the Head of Service Implementation & Support for eircom, followed by a role as Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations for Pocket Kings in 2008. In 2009, they founded Fort Technologies Ltd and served as CTO and Director. In 2011, they became a Director and Company Secretary for INEX - Internet Neutral Exchange. Finally, in 2012 they became the CTO Xterity and VP Engineering for Egenera, working with the board, executive, and across the business to meet and exceed the global business objectives.

Garrett Burke's education history includes a Secondary School education from Belvedere College S.J. from 1979 to 1989, a BAI in Computer Engineering from Trinity College Dublin from 1989 to 1993, an MSc in Computer Science - Distributed Systems from Trinity College Dublin from 1994 to 1996, and an MSc in Software Design with Cyber Security from Technological University of the Shannon from 2020 to 2021. Garrett also holds an AWS Security Fundamentals (Second Edition) certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) obtained in April 2021.
