Maria Sarmento

Maria Sarmento has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, currently serving as an Executive Assistant in Global Hospitality Partnerships at egg since January 2022. Prior roles include Director of MICE at Grand Hyatt from April 2018 to October 2021 and a brief stint as Director of MICE at Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor in 2019, focusing on opening tasks for groups and events. Maria also held various positions at Marriott International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, culminating in roles such as Complex Assistant Director of Sales and MICE Sales Executive. Maria holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hotel Management from the Estoril Higher Institute for Hotel & Tourism Studies and an IELTS certification from the British Council.
