Elissa Zaks is an experienced communications professional with a background in public relations and communications across various sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Public Relations Officer at Egg Farmers of Canada since November 2020, Elissa engages with the nuanced aspects of Canadian egg farming and its broader implications on the food system. Prior to this role, Elissa worked as a Communications Specialist at Payments Canada, contributing to the modernization of the country's payment processing infrastructure. Elissa's career also includes significant roles at Ceridian, where as a Senior Public Relations Specialist, strategic communications were executed during the company's transformation, and at Weber Shandwick, where Elissa honed media relations skills as an Account Supervisor. Beginning a career in public relations at Peppercomm, Elissa progressed from intern to Senior Account Executive. Elissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Queen's University.
