David Sinefeld

Head of electro-optics at eggXYt

David Sinefeld has a diverse range of professional experience in the field of applied physics and electro-optical engineering. David is currently serving as the Head of the Applied Physics and Electro-optical Engineering Department at Lev Academic Center (JCT) since September 2022. Prior to this role, David worked as a Senior Lecturer & Researcher at the Jerusalem College of Technology (JCT) from October 2019 to September 2022.

In January 2022, David joined eggXYt as the Head of Electro-optics, where they are currently employed. David also worked at Voyage81 as an Electro-Optical Consultant starting in January 2019.

David's professional journey began as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Cornell University, where they conducted research from October 2013 to October 2018. Prior to that, they were a PhD research student at Hebrew University, where their doctoral dissertation focused on investigating photonic spectral processors in advanced optical communication systems.

David has also worked as an Optical Engineer at Applied Materials from October 2005 to October 2011 and held positions at MOD, including Team Leader from October 2002 to October 2005, and Optical Engineer from October 1999 to October 2002.

David Sinefeld obtained a Bachelor of Science (Bsc) degree in Electro-optics/Applied physics from Jerusalem College of Technology (Machon Lev). David attended this institution from 1995 to 1999. Later, they pursued higher education and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied physics, specifically focusing on Optical fiber communication, at Hebrew University of Jerusalem. David'sdoctoral studies took place from 2006 to 2013.
