Laura Coale

Laura Coale has extensive experience in marketing, public relations, and communications. Laura is currently the VP of Marketing and Public Relations at Eglin Federal Credit Union, where they are responsible for creating and managing the annual market plan and budget, monitoring cost variances, and overseeing all communications and reputation management. Prior to that, they were the Co-Owner of Lazy Lizard Tours and the Director of Communications and Public Information for Escambia County Board of County Commissioners, where they led the COVID-19 communications and crisis communications for the county. Laura also led the public information efforts for Hurricane Sally in 2020 and received the Silver Circle Award for their work on a digital interactive COVID-19 Public Relations campaign. Laura has also held positions such as Executive Director of Strategic Communications at Northwest Florida State College, Director of Marketing at Coale Investigations, Executive Director of Communications and Public Information at Aims Community College, Director of Media Relations at City & County of Denver - Department of Aviation, and Communications Director at City and County of Denver. Laura Coale completed their education at various institutions. Laura began their academic journey at Wheeling High School, where they obtained their diploma from 1991 to 1995. Later, they attended Miami University from 1995 to 1999, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Communication. During their time at Miami University, Laura also participated in a Thematic Sequence program at the John E. Dolibois European Center in Luxembourg from 1997 to 1998.

In 2011, Laura pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Public Relations at Kent State University, which they successfully completed in 2013. Following this, in 2016, they obtained a Certificate as a Certified Change Practitioner from Prosci.

In addition to their formal education, Laura Coale has obtained several certifications.
