James Hinks

James Hinks currently serves as the VP of Solutions Engineering at Egress. Prior to this, they were the Director of IT Infrastructure at Human Kinetics from June 2018 to October 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the network, security, applications, technology systems, and information services for the company on an international level.

Hinks has a wealth of experience in both macro and micro level support. At the macro level, they are experienced in working with business, operations, and technical teams to ensure end-user changes are coordinated and communicated effectively. James is also experienced in aligning budget and cost elements with business needs, and has participated in projects as both a team member and leader. On the micro level, Hinks is experienced in managing computer systems, datacenters, networks, communication, helpdesks, and databases. James is also experienced in vendor and license management, supporting legacy systems while modernizing them, and managing security, privacy, and risk.

Some of their key results areas include effective change management, effective vendor and cost management, collaboration and communication, and appropriate responsiveness. Under their leadership, the IT department at Human Kinetics ran smoothly and efficiently on a global scale.

Moreover, they have a certification in 2019 security management workshop from Illinois Bankers Association. Furthermore, they have a certification in body language for leaders from LinkedIn. Lastly, they have certifications in cybersecurity foundations and cloud security considerations for the financial services industry from LinkedIn.
