Islam Safwat has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. Islam started their career in 2006 as an Attorney At Law at Abd El Salam Ragab law office, where they served as an Associate in Charge and assistant team manager. Islam joined Ghamry & Hozaien Law Firm as an Attorney at law - Senior Associate, handling litigation and attending meetings and negotiations.

In 2009, Islam Safwat joined Egypt Kuwait Holding and held various positions, including Senior Legal Specialist, Deputy Legal Manager, Legal Manager, Senior Legal Manager, and most recently, Deputy Legal Director. Their responsibilities at Egypt Kuwait Holding included negotiating, analyzing, reviewing, and drafting various agreements such as joint venture agreements, sale and purchase agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. Islam also prepared establishment and incorporation documents for local and foreign companies in multiple jurisdictions and conducted legal due diligence reports. Additionally, Safwat served as the board secretary for general assembly meetings and board of directors meetings, drafting minutes of meetings for the company and its subsidiaries.

Islam Safwat completed their General Secondary School Certificate from Lycee El-Horriya in the English section from 1986 to 1998. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Alexandria University in the English section, completing it from 1999 to 2005.
