Gene Lass

Gene Lass has over 20 years of work experience in various roles in the media industry. Gene is currently the Editor in Chief at EH Media since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelance Writer for various online and print publications, where they focused on writing and editing for different projects, including heavy edits and rewrites on two book manuscripts.

From 2019 to 2022, Gene served as the Managing Editor at Acceleran, where they planned, edited, and co-wrote books, podcasts, DVDs, and other media. Gene also managed the editorial calendar and developed the brand and expansion of services.

From 2013 to 2019, Gene worked at Acceleran LLC as an Editor, primarily focusing on planning, developing, and editing the Senior Dummies line of technical books. Gene also held the position of Managing Editor at KSquare Magazine from 2013 to 2018, where they planned, staffed, and designed an online literature and art publication, and reviewed every issue before final publication.

Gene's work experience also includes managing operations as a Manager at Half Price Books from 2007 to 2011. Gene supervised all store operations, including staff management, community engagement, media appearances, and execution of a major remodel, resulting in increased sales and productivity.

Prior to that, Gene worked as a Proposal Manager at Manpower, where they wrote and managed corporate proposals and built cross-functional teams based on each proposal's needs. Gene also worked as a Project Manager at WFS Services, Inc., managing and training a staff of 11 people engaged in billing and collections.

Gene began their career as a Senior Editor at Aspen Publishers, where they proposed, wrote, and edited books for the health care financial industry, as well as managed freelance staff and other publications.

Throughout their career, Gene has demonstrated strong writing, editing, and managerial skills, contributing to the success and growth of various media companies.

Gene Lass has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, which they obtained from Marquette University. Gene completed the Writing Intensive Program at the university.
