Ramesh Rajagopalan has extensive work experience in the commercial vehicle industry. Ramesh began their career at TVS Motor Company as a Graduate Engineer Trainee and worked their way up to become an Area Service Manager. Ramesh then joined Eicher Trucks and Buses, where they held various roles, including Head of Customer Care & Service Excellence and Head of Surround Services & Non-Automotive Business. After that, they worked at Mahindra & Mahindra as the GM of Customer Care & Dealer Development for Mahindra Trucks & Buses. Ramesh also spent a significant part of their career at Daimler Truck Asia, where they served as Vice President & Head of Customer Services, responsible for South Asia, Middle East Asia, and Africa. Ramesh later took on the role of Vice President & Head of After Sales & International Business at Daimler India. Since 2020, Ramesh has been working as the Executive Vice President & Head of Customer Services & Network Strategy at VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd, a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors. Throughout their career, Ramesh has been involved in developing and implementing after-sales strategies, managing customer services, expanding dealer networks, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Ramesh Rajagopalan received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics from Madurai Kamaraj University in 1987. In 1990, they completed a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Automobile Engineering from Anna University. Ramesh also obtained a PG Diploma in Marketing and Advertising from Loyola Institute Of Business Administration in 1993. In 1996, they earned a PG Diploma in Marketing Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University. Additionally, Ramesh completed an Applied Leadership Certificate program at IMD in 2014, focusing on Organizational Leadership.
