Julia Miller is a Visiting Researcher at The University of Texas at Austin since July 2024, continuing a PhD at the Jackson School of Geosciences as an ETH Doc-Mobility fellow. Julia has been a Doctoral Researcher at Eidg. Forschungsanstalt WSL since December 2022, focusing on assessing the impacts of climate change on wildfires in mountain regions. Prior experience includes a role as a Geospatial Data Engineer at OroraTech, where Julia worked on research and development for wildfire monitoring services, and an analytical position at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where Julia analyzed weather patterns in climate models. Additional roles include R&D positions at Airbus Defence and Space and Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V., along with a background in spatial and market insight analysis at Acxiom Deutschland GmbH. Julia holds a Doctor of Science degree from ETH Zürich and both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in relevant fields.
