Behnam Abaie

Behnam Abaie has a diverse work experience in the field of optical engineering and research. Behnam is currently employed as a Senior Optical Engineer at Eikon Therapeutics since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University from January 2019 to January 2022. Behnam also had a significant tenure at the University of New Mexico, where they pursued their Ph.D. in Optical Science and Engineering as a student and later served as a Research and Teaching Assistant from August 2013 to December 2018. In addition, Behnam obtained their Master of Science in Photonics from Shahid Beheshti University in Iran, where they worked as a Student at the Laser and Plasma Research Institute (LAPRI), focusing on experimental optics from September 2008 to September 2011.

Behnam Abaie completed their education in a chronological manner. From 2008 to 2011, they attended SBU, where they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Photonics. Following this, they enrolled at The University of New Mexico from 2013 to 2019, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Laser and Optical Engineering.
