Melissa Dumble

VP Pharmacology at Eikon Therapeutics

Melissa Dumble has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of pharmacology and drug development. Melissa is currently working as the VP of Pharmacology at Eikon Therapeutics since September 2022. Prior to this, Melissa held various roles at PMV Pharmaceuticals, Inc. starting from 2017, including SVP of Preclinical Development and Translational Science, VP of Preclinical Development and Translational Science, and VP and Head of Pharmacology and Translational Medicine. Melissa was responsible for leading multiple drug development programs and progressing numerous compounds to candidate selection. Melissa also worked as a Principal Scientist at Bristol-Myers Squibb from June 2016 to October 2017, focusing on preclinical evaluation of oncology targets. Melissa served as an Associate Director at PTC Therapeutics from January 2012 to June 2016, leading the profiling and preclinical pharmacology of multiple drug development programs. Prior to that, they were a Senior Scientist at Enzon Pharmaceuticals from January 2010 to January 2012, where they supervised scientists and supported assets in clinical development. Melissa also worked as an Investigator at GlaxoSmithKline from April 2006 to January 2010, playing a key role in the Akt Inhibitor program. Melissa completed their post-doc at Baylor College of Medicine from 2001 to 2005.

Melissa Dumble completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Ph.D. degrees in Cell and Molecular Biology at The University of Western Australia from 1992 to 2001. Melissa then pursued a postdoctoral position in Cancer Biology and Ageing at Baylor College of Medicine from 2001 to 2005. It is also worth noting that Melissa Dumble obtained another Ph.D. degree, specifically a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), from The University of Western Australia.
