Marta Val Escudero

Marta Val Escudero is a highly experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in power systems and transmission planning. Currently serving as the Future Operations Team Lead at EirGrid since March 2007, Marta oversees a team focused on developing innovative tools for control room operations in Dublin and Belfast. Previous roles at EirGrid include leading the Innovation Team, specialized technical studies, and multiple project team lead positions. Marta is also recognized for contributions to the MIGRATE project and has extensive experience from earlier positions at ESB International and Fundación CIRCE, specializing in technical studies and control schemes. Marta holds a Master of Philosophy from the University of Bath and a Bachelor of Engineering from Universidad de Zaragoza.
