Jason W. has extensive work experience in the legal field, holding various roles in different companies. Jason currently works at EIS Ltd as the Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Commercial, a position they have held since April 2021. Before that, they worked at Honeywell as the General Counsel, Connected Buildings from May 2019 to March 2021, where they were responsible for all legal aspects of the business, with a focus on global commercial support for licensing SaaS, data, connected buildings products, and associated services. Prior to their time at Honeywell, Jason was employed at General Motors as Counsel (GM Executive) Connected Vehicles from May 2015 to March 2019. Jason also worked as the Senior Counsel for the Americas at SAP Hybris from November 2013 to April 2015, and as the Corporate Counsel at Redbox Automated Retail, LLC from February 2012 to October 2013. Additionally, Jason has experience at Compuware as Counsel from October 2006 to February 2012, and at Webber Investment Group LLC as Counsel and Business Partner from September 2004 to September 2006.
Jason W. has an extensive education history. Jason obtained a High School Diploma from Detroit Country Day School in 1991. Following that, they attended Michigan State University from 1995 to 1997, where they studied Business Administration and Management. Jason then transferred to Central Michigan University and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management.
In the same year, Jason enrolled at Wayne State University Law School, where they pursued a Juris Doctor degree in Law. In addition to their formal education, Jason has obtained various certifications. Jason became a Certified Information Privacy Professional for the United States (CIPPUS) in April 2021 through the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals. Jason also holds an active license to practice law in Georgia from October 2020, obtained through the State Bar of Georgia.
Furthermore, Jason completed the "Leading a Culture of Change" Executive Education program offered by the Disney Institute in October 2015. Jason also previously held an inactive license to practice law in Illinois, obtained in September 2012 through the ARDC: Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois. Finally, Jason acquired an active license to practice law in Michigan from January 2005, granted by the State Bar of Michigan.
