Mark Simons has a diverse work experience in various companies. Mark started their career as an Assistant Accountant at Home Retail Group PLC and worked there for a year. Mark then joined Grant Thornton UK LLP as an Audit Trainee and progressed to become an Audit Manager. During their time at Grant Thornton, they also had a brief secondment as a Forensic Accountant. Mark then joined Danwood for a short secondment as an Accounting Specialist. After that, they moved to Travis Perkins plc as a PTS Rebate and Contract Claim Finance Manager, where they were responsible for managing rebate and contract support payments from suppliers. Currently, Mark is working at Eisai EMEA as the Head of Internal Audit EMEA. Mark previously held the position of Internal Audit Manager where they were responsible for providing independent and objective assurance on the internal control environment.
Mark Simons attended Walton High from 1998 to 2005. Mark obtained their ACCA Qualification in 2009 and their FCCA Qualification in 2014. In 2018, Mark became a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
