Miguel Marcao

Miguel Marcao, MSc (Eng.) has a wealth of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Miguel began their career at Aventis Pharma, SA as the Oncology Business Unit Director from an unknown start date to an unknown end date. Miguel then joined Sanofi Aventis as the Hospital Business Unit Director from January 2005 to March 2007. Marcao then moved to Eisai, where they held various roles. Miguel served as the Managing Director for Portugal from April 2007 to March 2010 and then became the European Commercial Head for Oncology from April 2010 to September 2010. Miguel then took on the role of Managing Director for Spain and Portugal from September 2010 to March 2011. Marcao then became the Country lead + BUD Oncology for Spain & Portugal from April 2011 to May 2013 and subsequently the Country lead + BUD Oncology & Epilepsy for Spain & Portugal from May 2013 to June 2014. Their most recent position was as the Senior Vice President, Head of Oncology Commercial Operations for EMEA at Eisai EMEA, which they have held since July 2014.

Miguel Marcao, MSc (Eng.), earned their Engineer's Degree in Biothecnology from Instituto Superior Técnico from 1987 to 1993. In 2001, they completed a Company sponsored program in Leadership at Hult Ashridge. In 2003, they pursued a field of study in Organizational Leadership at Unversidade Nova de Lisboa. Additionally, they earned a PAME degree in Marketing from Universidade Católica, Lisboa from 1998 to 1999.
