Steven Marette has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Steven is currently an Associate Director at Eisai EMEA, leading the EIT Program Office. Prior to this, they worked at GSK as a Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Manager, overseeing compliance solutions and managing initiatives. Steven also held the position of Senior Programme Manager at GSK, responsible for project teams and budgets.

Steven has experience in managing technology operations for major events, including the XX Commonwealth Games and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Steven served as Venue Cluster Technology Manager for Glasgow 2014 and Deputy Venue Technology Manager for the London 2012 Games. In these roles, they were responsible for planning, procurement, and implementation of technology systems and services.

Earlier in their career, Steven founded their own consulting firm, Tactica Solutions Inc, specializing in project management and business development. Steven also worked at Atos during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games as the Venue Technology Manager and later as the Project Management Office Director.

Steven's experience also includes roles at Inforetech Wireless Inc., Technical Systems Testing, and MDS-Automed, where they served in management positions such as Director of Documentation, Quality and Project Management and Quality Assurance and Documentation Manager.

Throughout their career, Steven has demonstrated expertise in programme management, technology implementation, compliance, and project leadership.

Steven Marette has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Lakehead University, which they obtained from 1984 to 1987. Prior to that, from 1981 to 1983, they pursued Mechanical Engineering at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and received a Diploma of Technology in Mech Tech. Steven also attended Gordonstoun from 1975 to 1978, where they studied O levels. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career, including AScT (Mechanical Engineering) in 1988, PMP (Program Management Professional) in 2005, Certified ScrumMaster in 2010, PRINCE2 Practitioner and PRINCE2 Foundation in project management in 2014, Leading Professional in Ethics & Compliance (LPEC) in 2016, MSP® Certifications (Managing Successful Programmes) in 2017, and What Is a PMO? from LinkedIn in 2021.
