Mingde Shan

Mingde (David) Shan is a highly experienced Principal Scientist at Eisai US, with a focus on medicinal chemistry and a robust background in small molecule drug discovery for oncology and neuroscience. Since May 2012, Mingde has also contributed to RNA therapeutics and the development of an oligonucleotide platform, alongside managing process research and development for small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredients. Prior to this role, Mingde worked as a Research Associate at Nu Skin Enterprises from August 2001 to July 2004, engaging in process research and development. Mingde's academic credentials include a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Organic Chemistry from Harvard University, a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from West Virginia University, a Master's in Natural Products Chemistry from the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Beijing Normal University.
